Students on the Master´s programme in Entrepreneurship at Sten K. Johnson Centre for Entrepreneurship, Lund University School of Economics and Management, nearly took the full sweep of awards at Venture Cup South. Three out of the four categories of Phase Business idea went to our students!
Congratulations!

Students from all over the southern parts of Sweden has been competing, and the winners moves on to the national finals that will be taking place in Stockholm June 10th. In Phase Business idea the students compete by sending in a written description of their business idea which includes a clear value propositions, description of the customers and how the idea can make a profit. The students that compete choose to do so in one of four categories: People & Society, Life science & Technology, Environment & Energy or Web, Software & Media. One winner in each category gets 5000 SEK.

Besides winning the category: People & Society with their business idea You++, Caroline Mensch and Tim Van Dijk also won the Phase Pitch of the Venture Cup south competition, where the students present their business idea in a one minute pitch. The winnings, which add up to 10000SEK for the both phases, is a welcome addition in the student budget. Caroline and Tim have been working on their idea since this autumn in their master´s programme in entrepreneurship and says: "We have come a long way since, and sometimes it’s good to take a break from your every day’s work, take a step back, and drill down to the essence of your idea or business.”
