In competition with a large number of papers in the disciplines of trade, consumption and supply chain two students from Lund University received Handelns uppsatspris (The Swedish retail essay prize) of 2016.

Malin Ek and Amanda Karlsson Streijffert graduated last year at the Technology Management programme and recently they received Handelns uppsatspris (The Swedish retail essay prize) regarding an essay showing how redistribution of goods in multi-channel marketing can help increase sales and reduce price reductions. Supervisors of the winning essay Optimization of sales in fashion retail by warehouse integration in multichannel were Jens Hultman (LUSEM/Centre for Retail Research) and Fredrik Nilsson (LTH).

About secrets behind an award winning essay, honoring the students with 20 000 SEK from the Hakon Swenson foundation and the Swedish Retail and Wholesale Council, Malin and Amanda say: - Start on time and do a proper schedule in order to minimize stress when the submission is approaching. The essay needs some time to get really well written. And use the supervisors! We had two supervisors from different fields of research which gave us different perspectives on our problems.
